Powerfix Tools Sockets
Three sizes of socket seems like a surfeit of riches, but there's a fair amount of stuff in there, including deep sockets and some fancy-pants bits.I've picked up a few Powerfix odds and sods, including a 3/8' socket set that's been decent enough. Probably as good a starter set as anything else for the price.Biking is.GONE: HN125-8, LF-250B, GPz 305, GPZ 500S, Burgman 400 // RIDING: F650GS (800 twin), Royal Enfield Bullet Electra 500 AVL, Ninja 250R because racebikeYou must be logged in to rate postsIslanderThis post is not being displayed.IslanderWorld Chat ChampionJoined: 05 Aug 2012Karma:Posted: 20:39 - 08 May 2017 Post subject.
Powerfix Profi
Also got a set similar to this from Lidl/Aldi. Smaller set, just big and small rachets. But jesus its seen some action Bashing in bearings mostly, getting off a 120N/m sprocket front nut earlier.Great quality for the price, nothing broken yet and the smaller socket sizes are used daily for getting 10mm nuts and the like offA2 Passed 18/6/10You must be logged in to rate posts. This post is not being displayed.Super SpammerJoined: 29 Sep 2015Karma:Posted: 21:13 - 08 May 2017 Post subject. I have a similar set from LIDL that I got 10 years ago. It has been used for all sorts of jobs, and no bit or ratchet has broken yet. It's done engine changes, clutch change on a transit, valve clearances, every maintenance job ever needed.it's exactly the same as this set here, but different branding:What seemed like a good beginner set, has ended up taking massive abuse, and just keeps plodding on.I suspect the set shown above will be similar. Only thing I don't like about it is the higher price, for what might be not-so-good spanners.
Or perhaps needing spanners of odd sizes, and having random unmatching spanners outside the box.M.C wrote. My socket is so old it has both imperial and metric sockets; all still works fine (though the imperial sockets live at the back of a drawer somewhere); the only problem - which admittedly drives me nuts - is that the insert/moulding which held everything in place was quite flimsy (not like modern versions) and disintegrated quickly. Am almost tempted to buy a new set for that reason alone!Similar thing with a set I have, the contents are mostly fine, but the crappy plastic catches fatigued and failed ages ago so the whole thing is held together with a strap (or ends up in a heap on the floor when I forgetKC100-CB100N-CB250RS-DL650AL2-R1200RSYou must be logged in to rate postsbluezeddThis post is not being displayed.bluezeddWorld Chat ChampionJoined: 26 Dec 2008Karma:Posted: 22:00 - 09 May 2017 Post subject.
